I'm diagnosed with lymphedema for left leg in 1998 and had chronic recurrence of cellulitis on that leg over the past 2 years.

The condition was worst from Oct 1998 to 1999 as I was hospitalized for about 5 times during that period for cellulitis. Usually for duration of about 1 week and once it took me 3 weeks to get discharged. The frequency of occurrence is about 3 to 6 months lapse and I was found to be allergic to penicillin later so have been treated with clyndamycin, Ciprobay in subsequent occurrences.

I've recently been warded from 14 Jun to 2 Jul and from 21 Jul to 31 Jul for the same cellulitis problem on the leg with lymphedema.

This is really very disruptive to my work and to my family life. I got very frustrated as to why there is no permanent cure other than using antibiotics to treat the infection and compression stocking to control the swell. The stocking is very painful to wear as it always tightens at the ankle and cuts the skin around that area.

I look forward to some permanent treatment from the medical experts.
